Burglars strike during storm

An apparent burglary attempt was made during the overnight hours at Pasadora Place shopping centre in George Town while Hurricane Paloma was still hitting Grand Cayman.

Royal Cayman Islands Police officers weren’t sure when the break–in attempt occurred but said a wooden panel and a window at an electronics store had been busted out during the overnight period between Friday and Saturday.

Police responded shortly after receiving a report of the break–in around 2.30a–3a Saturday and said it appeared suspects had not gained entry to the building.

A search was carried out in the area, but no suspects were found.

The Pasadora Place shopping centre was hit by burglars earlier this year during an overnight crime spree in George Town.

An apparent burglary attempt was made during the overnight hours at Pasadora Place shopping centre in George Town while Hurricane Paloma was still hitting Grand Cayman.
