Police were investigating a rollover accident involving a Daihatsu truck and a pedestrian along Shamrock Road near Ocean Club on Tuesday morning.

According to initial reports, the truck flipped over and, at some point, struck a pedestrian along the side of the road.

Both the pedestrian and the truck’s driver were injured. The driver was listed in stable condition by the George Town Hospital. The pedestrian was still being evaluated by doctors at press time.

Witnesses said it appeared that the Daihatsu truck had gone some 30 to 40 feet from the roadway.

There was no word from police on what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway and flip over.
