Making of a legend

Local tennis fans Faramarz Romer, his wife, Sarah, and daughter, Sienna, are set to have the experience of a lifetime thanks to Cayman Free Press, KPMG and The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.

Mr. Romer was selected as the lucky winner of the Legends Championships Competition after answering the tennis related questions on caycompass.com/competitions.

He received a VIP tennis experience including VIP tickets to the KPMG Legends Tennis Championships on Friday and Saturday evening, attendance at the Whites after party as well as two nights’ stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.

According to Mr. Romer, he entered the competition at the last moment and was surprised when he received an email informing him he had won.

“We are very excited. We didn’t expect to win – it was a last minute entry at 11pm the day before it was supposed to end. We were really shocked to see the email come through about us winning it,” he said.

According to Mr. Romer, they have attended the Legends tournament every year and winning the completion makes this year more special.

“It will be great because Sienna takes tennis lessons at the Ritz right now so it will be great for her,” he said.

The timing could not have been better, as Mrs. Romer celebrated her birthday on Friday.

“It was a very pleasant surprise – what better way to spend my birthday evening than watching tennis and staying at the Ritz,” she said.
