Royal Cayman Islands Police were investigating another armed robbery in George Town's Palm Dale neighbourhood overnight.
According to police reports, a man and a woman were robbed by three armed men at their home around 12.30am Tuesday.
Police said one suspect carried a handgun, another had a machete and the third used a knife.
Some cash was taken by the robbers along with a white Honda Odyssey which police said was stolen from outside the victims' house.
At the time of the theft the white Honda Odyssey was displaying the license plate # 142696.
No one was hurt in the robbery.
Two of the suspects were both about 5'10" and slim. They wore blue jeans and had their faces covered. The third suspect was described as 'stocky' and also wore blue jeans.
Tuesday's incident was at least the third attempt at an armed robbery to occur in the Palm Dale area since November.
Just last month, RCIPS officers said a man was set upon by two armed suspects just outside his house. The suspects in that robbery also carried a gun and a knife and got away with a bag of cash.
In November, a married couple returning to their house around 11pm were attacked by a man in a Halloween mask. The armed robber made an attempt to snatch the woman's bag just outside the couple's home, but was struck in the head by the make victim - who used a cup to fight off the would-be robber. Nothing was taken in that case.
