Shatner covers Queen in freaky music video
25 October 2011

You need Flash player 8+ and JavaScript enabled to view this video.

William Shatner released a music video for his cover of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody," off his new Seeking Major Tom album, and it might be the most transcendentally wacked-up thing I've ever seen.

First of all, it's Shatner singing "Bohemian Rhapsody," which is madness on its own -- but then the video has his the heavens coming together to form his face, floating in space, while some teens look on in bafflement and constellations explode and.. well, you just have to watch the video.

What's most insane is that, for William Shatner, this is not only a good cover of "Bohemian Rhapsody," but a genuinely good music video! Sure, it starts out as a self-parody on both counts, but then by sheer force of awesomeness, it can of becomes genuinely, unironically good! Especially at 4:00 in with the time change.
