Still no trace of five people missing at sea

The search continues for five missing boaters last seen leaving the Newlands dock early Sunday morning, 10 January.

Friends, family members, and local rescue crews have spent the last two days combing the north sound by sea and air looking for the group, and late Monday afternoon, 11 January, the 26 foot canoe carrying 36-year-old Raynell Wood, his 13-year-old daughter Michelle, 28-year-old Josh Gilman, 36-year-old Astor Range and 19-year-old Jamie Avila was discovered capsized outside the barrier reef.

Caymanian Compass Brent Fuller spent the day at the dock site where dozens of frantic loved ones have gathered awaiting the latest news.

He was able to talk with one of the searchers on the boat that discovered the boat
