gappletammySM Partner in Education Representative, Mrs. Tammie Chisholm, Editor, Cayman Free Press presents Mrs. Catherine Eugene with the Golden Apple Award for Primary School Teacher in a Private School.

Over 275 people attended the Third Annual Chamber of Commerce Golden Apple Awards for Excellence in Teaching which took at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman. The black tie gala event, which is looked forward to by every educator in these Islands, honours the contributions and dedication of Cayman’s teachers to building a stronger, well-educated society.
 
The Minister of Education, Training, and Employment, the Honourable Rolston Anglin together with Chamber President Mr. Stuart Bostock presented each of the 21 Honourees with a crystal apple marking their achievement. During his message Minister Anglin said, “I am delighted to have this opportunity to personally congratulate this year’s nominees for the golden Apple Award. You nomination shows that you are held in high esteem by your school leaders, colleagues, parents and students, and you have inspired us as a community with your passion, innovation and dedication to teaching.
 
The Chamber of Commerce salutes the business community for supporting this event, particularly their Partners in Education: Cayman Free Press, DART Cayman Islands, The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman, and the Lifetime Achievement Award sponsor Maples.
