Mr. Franz Ferschke has been appointed vice president and general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman. Mr. Ferschke brings more than 30 years experience with Marriott International and The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company to Cayman.

Jade Webster was recently awarded the Rod Hansen WestStar TV Communications/Journalism Scholarship. Miss Webster, a graduate of John Gray, recently completed her A-Levels at St. Ignatius and is now attending the University of South Carolina School of Journalism and Mass Communications.
Water Authority
Brenda Mc Grath (formerly laboratory manager) was promoted to quality manager with the overall responsibility to review, develop and implement quality control programmes. Ms Marcela Martinez-Ebanks (formerly sr. laboratory technologist) was promoted to laboratory manager and has full responsibility for the authority’s internationally accredited environmental laboratory.
Scotia Bank
Ariel Justin Whittaker is the proud recipient of the 2009 annual ScotiaBank & Trust (Cayman) Ltd scholarship. Ariel recently completed prep college in Maine and New York on a basketball scholarship. He will attend Barry University to purue Bachelor’s degree in Business.
Walkers
Walkers has made a number of marketing hires recently. Philippa Bullmore and Sondra Lovett join as business development managers, respectively from Appleby and Weil Gotshal & Manges (New York) and Michelle Carter joins as marketing communications assistant from Tower Marketing.
