Approximately 2,000 people turned out to see what was on offer from the Island Companies group of stores this Christmas. They were also treated to some great deals from supporting businesses Butterfield and Digicel, which had plenty of giveaways and specials of its own, including a new ipad. There were a number of door prizes on offer too for Chamber members, including a Charrioll Bracelet, TW Steel Watch and a$500 shopping spree. Renard Moxam and Island Companies CEO, Alexandre Tabacoff presented cheques to the NCVO, Hospice Care, Lions Club and the Special Olympics as part of their annual gift giving to the community.

About 300 Chamber members enjoyed an evening full of good food, great beer and lively music provided by Red, White and Blues. The event was held to promote its 11 brands of beer now carried by the brewery, as well as inform people about its environmentally conscious operation. They fully encourage the recycling of their bottles and cans and are currently at an 80% success rate on this initiative. Cayman Islands Brewery Marketing Manager, Matthew Leslie asked everyone to continue to assist them in their green activities and thanked their fellow Chamber members for coming out to support their business. Attendees were treated to a tour of the brewery, beer battered fish & chips, and pizza cooked with beer!

The new store on North Church Street that had its Grand Opening in February was filled to the brim with people looking for the perfect gifts for family and friends at Christmas. Generous discounts included up to 65 per cent off selected items and employee discounts throughout the entire store for everyone. Diamonds International are the largest jewelry retailer in the Caribbean with over 145 store locations across the Caribbean, Alaska and Mexico. They exclusively offer the ‘Crown of Light’ diamond collection with 90 facets - nearly twice as many as a conventional round diamond. Jerry Harper won a sapphire and diamond necklace and Barry Dickson won a tanzanite and diamond necklace in the Chamber member draw.
