Chief Officer, Portfolio of Internal and External Affairs

Franz joined the immigration Department in 1981 and progressed quickly through the ranks and within ten years was promoted to Assistant Chief Immigration Officer. Within four years he was promoted to Deputy Chief Immigration Officer. In 2003 Mr. Manderson became the Chief Immigration Officer, and in 2009 he was appointed Chief Officer, Portfolio of Internal and External Affairs.  He has recently been appointed as the next Deputy Governor of the Cayman Islands and head of the Civil Service which take effect in January 2012.

Michael Joseph


Michael Joseph

Michael has a degree in International Business Management and another in Marketing and Advertising. He represented the Cayman Islands in the 1996 Olympic Games and is a former YCLA finalist. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Grand Cayman. He has worked in both Europe and Cayman and speaks French and Spanish fluently. Before commencing his successful career in the real estate industry Michael worked in private banking/trusts with RBS Coutts and also with local marketing company BB&P. Michael has been a real estate agent with RE/MAX Cayman Island since 2003 and has been heavily involved in the company’s numerous community efforts.
