Cayman Heart Fund Time for Red Dress Gala
TOPIC: Arts & Culture

01 February, 2012

The Cayman Heart Fund is embarking on its largest fundraiser this month and helping to bring in the donors is none other than Elvis.

February is the ideal time for a red dress event, with it being heart health awareness month and the month of St. Valentine.

This year’s much anticipated Red Dress Gala to raise funds for the Cayman Heart Fund will be held at the Marriott Ballroom on Friday, 10 February, and attendees are guaranteed to be “All shook up” over the headline act.

One of America’s top Elvis Presley impersonators, Ron Adams, is returning to Cayman to support the Cayman Heart Fund and keep party goers on the dance floor.

This is Adams’ second trip to Cayman, having first come here after meeting George Nowak, aka Barefoot Man, who put him in touch with the Cayman Heart Fund’s Suzy Soto, who asked him to come play here two years ago.

“I’m looking forward to coming back,” he said.

Soto says he was such a hit, she had no hesitation inviting him back to entertain the crowd this year.

“Elvis” will be playing at the gala with local band Sea’N’B.

The theme of this year’s event is 50s/60s, so guests should dress to impress at this semi-formal gala, as the best dressed couple will win three nights in Miami, courtesy of Cayman Airways and the Marriott hotel.

Welcome drinks and hors d’ouvres will be served from 6.30pm. Guests will also get to take part in a silent auction and enjoy dinner by Chef Le Pape, great music, prizes and dancing all night long.

The Cayman Heart Fund is a non-profit, non-government organisation dedicated to the reduction of heart and circulatory disease in the Cayman Islands. Cardiovascular disease is the number one health problem in the Cayman Islands and the Cayman Heart Fund aims to help prevent and reduce the early deaths, long-term disabilities and widespread suffering that heart and circulatory diseases cause.

Tickets are $150 per person or $1,350 per table of 10. For more information or to get tickets, contact
