I had a successful pencil test this week. If you have no idea what this means, then you are living a blessed existence! If you do know, please feel happy for me.
After making my choice between a healthy stomach and a flat stomach, I have been working hard to make sure that I can still have both. To that end, I’ve said a tearful goodbye to my beloved bananas and started having healthful salads instead of a hot midday meal. The cost of a recent salad (CI$15!!!) nearly gave me an ulcer, so I decided to make my own. I got fresh greens from the green grocer at the Camana Bay Farmer’s Market on Wednesday. Cutting up veggies for the salads is a bit tedious, but if you sacrifice an hour or so, you can have a week’s worth of lunches prepped. Not as fresh as the $15 variety, but very tasty!
Someone complimented my skin and I went off on a tangent about my lovely Lavera creams. People do seem to get offended when you recommend eye creams, I’ve noticed .
I missed Zumba for the past week and got on more friendly terms with the elliptical machine. I can proudly say I finished 2 books this week while climbing on that miserable machine. Hopefully tonight at Zumba I’ll have even better results now that pain is such a regular part of my life (*grin* only half joking). I’m working on my list of ‘Secret Weapons’ and will complete them for my next instalment.
