Cayman Brac has a character all of its own, vastly different from the corporate hustle and bustle so often found on Grand Cayman. No tall glass towers or towering cruise ships dominate the skyline – only the majesty of the Bluff. To many, it represents an echo of the Cayman that once was.
Some of this laid-back atmosphere is captured in its art. However, one need not visit a gallery to view these works. They are on display on walls all around the island, not as framed paintings, but as murals on the walls themselves. Of course, they are not for sale (unless you buy the entire building) but are free for residents and visitors to enjoy.
Next time you visit the Brac, keep an eye out for some of these examples of Brac art.
