Cayman has many traditional dishes, but establishing a new one can be a challenge.

However, when you take seafood and combine it with something a little bit spicy, you could be well on your way to an instant classic. Enter Cayman Pepper Shrimp, a new snack food. Based on ‘a secret family recipe’, the main ingredients are whole white shrimp, marinated and seasoned with Scotch bonnet peppers and sea salt to create a light and tasty snack, low on calories but big on taste.

Cayman Pepper Shrimp is the brainchild of Vanessa Polack, whose other business ventures include Cayman Sea Salt.

The snack is sold in eight ounce containers, each containing four shrimp, which can be eaten at room temperature or heated in the microwave – both options taste equally good.

Vanessa cooks and packages the snacks at home, making it a truly home-made product.

With loads of local flavour, the recently launched product is sure to be a hit as the word spreads.

Cayman Pepper Shrimp is available from Hurleys Supermarket, Kirk supermarket, South Coast Bar, Pirates Cove Bar or by calling Vanessa directly at 925-0511 or emailing caymanpeppershrimp@gmail.com
