With the summer holidays a thing of the past, the kids back in school and planning for the festive season not yet a priority, September is the perfect month to slow down and reconnect with friends and family.

Whether it is a walk in the park, a play date with a friend, shopping or dining, a good book and coffee, a relaxing massage or a matinee whilst everyone else is at work, Camana Bay serves as a hub for all these activities.

The fountains
For anyone between 18 months and 10 years, the Jasmine Court or Crescent fountains are amongst the favourite places in Camana Bay. For the young set the fountains cool them down, stimulate their senses and challenge their brain as they try to outwit the timer by remembering the pattern and always being one step ahead of the next burst of water.

The four courtyards
Jasmine, Gardenia, Cassia and Canella Court are each designed to appeal to a different mood with distinctive landscaping and serene water features which soothe frayed senses and exude tranquillity.

The shopping

For those who find retail therapy the perfect remedy to a stressful day, Camana Bay’s retailers provide an eclectic array of fashion, books, home design and accessories which will thrill and inspire even the most jaded of shoppers.

Camana Way
A thoughtfully landscaped representation of the five ecosystems of Grand Cayman is found as one crosses from the sandy Caribbean beaches to the mangrove wetlands adjacent to the North Sound. It is a great way to see the varied ecosystems without having to don hiking boots and mosquito spray for a trip to the interior. A walk on this wild side provides the perfect botanical escape.

The Observation Tower

With over 3,000,000 glass tiles making up this incredible mosaic that depicts the serenity of life under sea, visitors are awed not just by the art but also by the views from the top and the cooling breezes that are allowed to waft through the structure.

The Harbour
Cayman’s culture is a seafaring one, so for a new way to get to Camana Bay, why not take the boat and arrive in style at the harbour for a spot of shopping, to meet friends or to grab a bite to eat.

Dining
The dining scene at Camana Bay keeps getting better. Breakfast, lunch, picnic or boat hampers, ice cream, dinner under the stars or just casual drinks with friends – whatever you fancy there is a venue that can cater to your culinary cravings.

The Crescent
An incredible investment in community and public space, The Crescent’s boardwalk, water views and park area is the quintessential place to meet friends and catch up. Slow down and take a moment to enjoy the beauty that surrounds you.

The mosaics
Permanent outdoor art installations – the breezeways connecting Cassia and Canella courtyards to The Crescent are home to The Water Droplet and Sea Anemone mosaics. Don’t see them? Just look up... and don’t forget The Observation Tower mosaic.

Friends
Whether observing nature, photography, reading in a quiet place, boating, eating, shopping, working out or simply reconnecting, Camana Bay is a great venue for catching up with friends, whether planned or spur of the moment.   WH
