Happy Friday to you

Grand Harbour has become a popular Happy Hour hangout, and it’s not difficult to see why. Apart from the plentiful parking, the twin attractions of The Brick House and The Dog House has made it a happy hour hot spot favourite.

The Brick House is a great casual family restaurant, with its signature thin crust wood fired pizza being a firm favourite. However, the restaurant also packs a mean happy hour on a Friday.

As with any good happy hour, it lasts quite a bit longer than an hour, kicking off at 4pm for those who get to knock off early on a Friday, and stretching until 7pm for anyone who would rather not hit the tail end of traffic when leaving.

The venue has also just launched a new Friday Premium Happy Hour, spanning both establishments.
What makes it premium? Glad you asked.

From two for one Flor de Cana pure sugarcane rum to two for one Stoli Vodka cocktails and even two for one deals on a selection of wines, it is the perfect way to unwind with something other than a beer in your hand. Then again, for those for whom happy hour just wouldn’t be happy without a beer, there is a choice of two for one bottles of Carib, or $4.50 for the extra large Grolsch swingtops. That’s pretty much the equivalent of Champagne in the beer world.

Then there are two for one appetisers as well, with two different chef creations each week. Just to make things more interesting, different appetisers will be on offer depending on whether you decide to spend happy hour at the Brick House or Dog House, so you can even migrate from one to the other to find your favourite app.

With indoor, outdoor and picnic dining areas, as well as a kids playground, you can find a spot that can cope with whatever level of family commitments you travel with. And regardless of where you find your spot, with an outside and inside bar, as well as TVs at each of the bars, you never have to miss a game or a cold drink.

Of course, should sports and other entertainment prove too strong a draw, just step over to the Dog House, where 22 TVs show all the games, while video trivia and loads of other options can keep everyone who isn’t a sports fan thoroughly entertained as well. Of course, the nine beers on tap don’t hurt either, nor does a menu featuring great pub grub like burgers, wraps and wings.

So whether it’s on your way home or not, a visit to the Brick House or Dog House for Friday happy hour is well worth it.
