Pure Art will celebrate its opening of Cayman Christmas Corner Saturday, 5 November, at its South Church Street cottage. An open house will feature new 2011 Christmas ornaments as well as a wonderful selection of hand-painted glass designs - from crabs to fish to holiday features – gorgeous shell ornaments galore and local carved calabash, stinky toe, stamp and miniatures by Kelly.
A new exhibition of original Cayman paintings by local artist Donovan Sewell will also be featured in the main gallery with beautiful subjects from sunsets to Cayman’s shores and the Blue Iguana is sure to delight all.
Pure Art has featured Mr. Sewell’s paintings for over two years. Donovan has been painting for this featured one-man showing for months and is excited to preview his newest acrylics.
Pure Art will also feature a 10 per cent discount storewide to kick off the holiday season with CI debit card purchases of $10 or more.
Refreshments will be served and the public is encouraged to attend.
The entire month of November will feature the Sewell collection, the Cayman Christmas corner, as well as new island gifts and collectibles.
Holiday hours begin 5 November and are 10am until 6pm Monday through Saturday. WH
